There's no such thing as too many Birthday Parties! Last Sunday we had Brett's "Construction Theme" party at Nana's house. It was mostly family and a few close friends.. very simple. I found the instructions for the dump truck cake at www.parenting.com months ago and always had it in the back of my mind! Brett LOVES cars and trucks.. especially yellow.. so it was perfect!

Brett's Autumn Adventure!
Wow, what a BUSY few weeks we've had! Week before last we drove to Chicago, Milwaukee and Green Bay to visit family and friends and celebrate Brett's First Birthday! He ate lots of cake, got lots of toys and played and cuddled with lots of people who love him SO MUCH!

Gamma Lynn & Gampa Dave made him a choo-choo train cake!

But it didn't last long..

Pumpkin Patch Fun!
Happy Autumn everybody! Today, we took a short roadtrip to McGarrah Farms in Pea Ridge, Arkansas. They had a great pumpkin patch and corn maze (the hayride was "down" because the tractor wasn't working, oh well). Brett LOVED the big pumpkins and sneezed a few times while playing in the hay (which always makes him laugh). Enjoy the pictures!

Afterward, we took another short drive to Holiday Island to visit our good friends Dale & Carol and Jeannie & Jerry. It was their first time to meet Brett and they were impressed with his "mobility" and "inquisitive personality." In other words, he ran all over the house and rummaged through everything..
Good to see you guys!
