Birthday Presents in Big, Brown Boxes..

When Brett and I got home from Bella Vista there were two big boxes in the entryway! Gamma Lynn & Gampa Dave and Grandpa Paul & Nonie Jo sent fun presents for Brett to open on his birthday:
*
The famous "Boelter" boxes are always full of goodies :)
*

Tearing open the first one with Daddy's help!
*

A wooden choo-choo train! Brett said "shoo shoo" when he saw it.
*

Gamma Lynn & Gampa Dave's package was full of wrapped presents!
*

A "shoo shoo" puzzle that makes noise when it's complete.. fun!
*
"Cahs, cahs, cahs" Brett says!
*

OH BOY! Mommy and Daddy always wanted one of these too!
*

This one could occupy us all for hours..
*

Thank you to all of Drew's parents for sending such great gifts! Brett is a pro at opening packages.. His eyes lit up with every single one. We love and miss you all and wish you could be here for his birthday costume party next weekend.. More pictures to come!

A Week With Nana in Bella Vista!

This past week, Nana spent some time at a fun condo in Bella Vista! It was only 20 minutes from our house in Cave Springs so Brett and I spent a lot of time there too. He was excited to explore a new place with so much to do..
*
Nana bought this Thomas the Train toy.. Brett LOVES it!
*

He loves it so much he wanted to take it night-night with him :)
*

The back porch
*

Lots of leaves!
*

Brett had fun throwing leaves and acorns off the deck
*

The super big bathtub that Brett called "pool"
*

This isn't safe.. but it sure is fun!
*

Little fish didn't want to get out of the tub
*

Beautiful trees all around us!
*

Swinging with Nana at the playground
*

One of the back decks (not ours, but just like it)
*

Thank you so much to Nana's friend Barbara (Gigi) for letting us use the condo for the week! It wasn't far from home but still seemed like a world away. Nana, Brett and I built a fire in the fireplace each night, had great meals, shopped in NWA and then just relaxed. It was a PERFECT week!

Happy Second Birthday Brett!

Dear Brett,

I can't believe you've been in our lives for two whole years already! It seems like just yesterday that we welcomed you into the world. I thank God everyday for the blessings he's given me but
on October 22, 2008 I received the BEST gift ever.
*
I knew you were going to be a busy little boy from the moment you started moving in my belly. You bounced around like a little monkey in there and soon your kicks and jabs were overwhelming! You would wiggle and stretch so much that my belly would move for everybody to see. Every night I would lay down to sleep and you would start your aerobics.
*
And now you're as active as ever! You love to run and jump, push cars all around the sidewalk and climb up on every counter and table you see. You are so funny too.. making faces and laughing so loud just to make us all smile and laugh with you. You're saying so many new words lately.. we are at the point of no return with your conversation days coming fast.
*
I love you so much little man. You are the brightest spot in my day and pray that God will keep you safe and healthy. You are a handful, but you're my little boy and I think you're PERFECT!
*
Love,
Mommy

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

This week we took Brett to the Pumpkin Patch at McGarrah Farms in Pea Ridge, Arkansas.. Drew had the day off so it worked out great!

*
Looking for the perfect pumpkin with Daddy
*
I think this is it!
*
Oh wait.. I see a better one!
*
Inspecting the big pumpkin with Daddy
*

So precious.. I think he looks like Momma in this one!
*

Baby model posing for the camera :)
*

Checking out the bumpy pumpkin variety
*

Hmmm.. what's up with this hay tunnel thing?
*

I made it through!
*

Baby pumpkins.. make good weapons..
*

Daddy you're so bhaaaaaad
*

This little piggie didn't want to stay still for the camera
*

Complaining about something..
*

Loving his first hayride! Very focused on the "dracker" tractor
*

He made a new friend (Smokey)
*

Petting Smokey.. we said "be gentle" about 50 times..
*

This hay ride thing is cool!
*

Brett enjoyed his trip to the Pumpkin Patch! This was his second year to go. They're a really nice group of people, don't charge admission and do a lot for local schools. Farmer McGarrah (very Irish) is a jolly, redfaced man who LOVES this time of year!
